Pair of Famous Bronze Cent Mint Errors Brought Together Under One Owner The 1943 Donald Lutes bronze cent, at left above, and the 1943-S Kenneth S. Wing bronze cent. Two of the rarest and most famous US coins have been brought together under a single owner. The 76-year-old coins look like regular Lincoln cents from the era: bronze with the 16th president on one side, wheat ears on the other.
The 1796 Dime It has few peers in terms of historical importance, and for those who like tough coins, it also qualifies on that front as the 1796 is both historic and scarce. The only real problem with the 1796 is that you have to find one being offered and then you have to be able to afford it which is sometimes easier said than done.
