Qualification for PDC World Championship offers more money than runner-up at Lakeside If qualification is secured, they will get at minimum £7,500 pounds more than most tournaments wins in the BDO. This is more than even getting the runners up cheque for the Lakeside edition of the Ladies World Championship. This amount is £5,000. The winner gets £12,000.
Labanauskas and Larsson lead PDC Nordic and Baltic Order of Merit after event eight Darius Labanauskas remains first and seemingly likely to take one of two spots for the PDC World Championship. Despite that though, the top seven in the Order of Merit can still qualify for the World Championship. These include Kim Viljanen and Magnus Caris who are some of the most experienced players in the Order of Merit.
Time's Running out for Winmau World Masters Hopefuls With events in Sweden in a couple of weeks likely to provide a final automatic qualification chance for Winmau Masters hopefuls, Dutch player Derk Telnekes has dropped out of the top BDO 16 rankings. He slides three places to 17th and is replaced by England's Scott Baker, who moves into 16th.
Larsson and Kantele claim PDC Nordic and Baltic titles Kantele is fourth on the rankings and he defeated some tough competition to win the tournament. This included Per Laursen, Madars Razma and finally Darius Labanauskas.
Wright win means five different winners from five events in 2018 World Series so far He couldn't complete the double though as Peter Wright joined the list defeating him on the way. The trend though looks unlikely to continue unless a player like Corey Cadby, Raymond van Barneveld or Rob Cross can change that in Brisbane. View the completed field for Brisbane here.

Two places for female players will be on offer in the 2018/2019 World Championship at Alexandra Palace in London.
Dutch darts association uncertain about consequences for ladies competing at PDC World Championship Qualifier However, it is not yet known whether there are consequences for the ladies who participate in the qualifying tournament for the World Championship and are qualified for Lakeside. In the past, male players were only allowed to participate in one of these events.

Can Gurney Revive Good Times of Last Year? It looks like it is going to feature record prize money too, with a purse of £2,500,000 touted for the tournament, an increase of £700,000 on last year. Not clear what issues are impacting Gurney's game. It's clear that Gurney is going to have to raise his game if he wants a hefty slice of that prize-money.

Wright speculates about darts change: 'Depends how I feel when I wake up' Peter Wright booked a fine 10-4 victory over Raymond van Barneveld in the quarter-finals of the Melbourne Darts Masters. 'Snakebite' will now meet Michael van Gerwen on Sunday in the semi-finals. After reaching the final in Melbourne last year, Wright is hoping to claim the title this year.
