Firefighters free woman from overturned car on Daresbury Expressway Firefighters this morning rescued a woman from an overturned car on the Daresbury Expressway in Runcorn. Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6am. Two fire engines attended the one-vehicle collision, which saw a car on its side. A woman was trapped inside the car - and firefighters worked to rescue her and administered first aid.
One person rescued from flat fire One person had to be rescued from the property and was taken into the care of the ambulance service.
Car set alight on A30 in suspected arson attack A car was set alight on the A30 in the early hours of this morning in what is being described as a suspected "deliberate ignition". The blaze broke out on Snowdon Hill in Chard shortly after 5am and firefighters rushed to the scene to put it out. When they arrived, they found the vehicle still well alight and put out the flames.
